We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kay-Lee Lodge over Christmas. The warm, cozy, comfortable feel of the place appealed to all of us; and staying inside was every bit as much a pleasure as getting out to Rocky Mountain National Park, so close by. Because of COVID, we did not want to eat in restaurants, and we found the kitchen to be impressively well-equipped for cooking all our meals. We loved the views from both eating spots, especially when deer or elk wandered through the yard right in front of us. A particular treat for us was having fires in the beautiful stone fireplace. Be aware, though, that despite a listing photo showing firewood stacked outside, firewood is not provided—you need to bring your own. Being at Kay-Lee Lodge over Christmas, we were heartened to see a small Christmas tree in the lower living area—a nice touch. Also available were some games, puzzles, and DVD’s, though we actually spent hardly any time in that space because of the appeal of the fireplace and living room area on the upper level. We would definitely stay at Kay-Lee Lodge again!
This cabin was very charming and nostalgic. We loved the pine interior and warm decor. Our family really enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and having family time for every meal around the breakfast table. It was lovely to have a fire in the fireplace. It was a perfect getaway!
A great get away and close to the Rockies. A wonderful cabin renovated and maintained by a lovely family that will be a welcome to yours.
Very large 3 bedroom house with a complete kitchen, plus dining room, upper and lower living areas. The house is decorated very nicely and everything you could possibly need is provided. The area is surrounded by pine trees. Plus, we had a visit from Elk almost every day!!
Great place! Thanks
Great place and very relaxing. Plenty of space and really enjoyed our stay!
We loved the older homey feel of the home, the views and location were great. However the listing states sleeps 8 with the fold out sofa being a "place to sleep" and part of the "5 beds". We had 2 adults sleeping on the pull out sofa. Fully understanding that pull out sofas are not the most comfortable. But this pull out sofa has far past its life and needs replaced before it should be claimed as a sleeping option. It actually had broken springs in the frame and tilted downward so that the head of the bed was lower then the foot, so we had to sleep upside-down. The mattress itself was super thin and hard. We found every throw pillow in the house and used it as cushion under the mattress and then found all of the extra blankets and padded the top to make it bearable for the week....
We understand the no ac however there was only one box fan to circulate the air and it was quite warm in the house until late into the night.
The kitchen was fully equipped and we had enough tp and paper towels to fet us through a few days which was nice. We saw lots of wildlife, deer and elk with their babies. The view over the lake with sunrise was beautiful. The location was perfect.
We were told check in was at 3 but after 4 our keys would be in the lockbox which only gives one hour window to check in a speak to someome had we had questions.
Only true complaint was the pull out sofa, it needs replaced desperately.
Other than that would highly recommend and would stay again if the sofa bed is replaced.
The perfect, cozy cabin with 360 views of Estes park. Anytime of the year, this would be the perfect place to stay! Very close to town but still feels like you’re in the country. We loved our stay here!
Wonderful location and cozy home
great venue

Lots of wildlife and a lovely home.
nice home with a "cozy" feel
My family and I had a pleasant stay at Kay-Lee Lodge. The kitchen is fully equipped with amenities, the space was clean and spacious and we enjoy the view of the lake. We saw Elks passing by the house every day during our stay and loved how it is in a very quiet spot of the town surrounded by woods yet still close enough to everything we need.
Cool house with a pretty view of the mountains. It’s in a quiet, residential part of Estes Park. Good for larger families. We would rent it again!
This is a very comfortable, clean and well provisioned place, in a great location close to RMNP. I recommend it and would stay there again.
Very beautiful and relaxing place ! Spacious and lovely place to stay !
