Indian Paintbrush - 4 bedroom home - walk to downtown

Negatives:
Steps to house had ice and packed snow. Adult children/grandchild had to shovel and use ice melter in order for the 2 seniors to be able to get to the door. This was at 10:30 pm.
Thermostats were set at 58 and 60 degrees and the house was very cold for a couple of hours. There were no extra blankets downstairs and only one upstairs. There was a garage which would have made access to house easier, but there was no garage door opener (as noted by another guest also).
Pick up and drop off of keys was inconvenient at a realtor office.
Blankets, towels, and linens need upgrade. Basement area needs to be made warmer, perhaps with big area rugs.
Positives:
Good location - close to town. Nice view of the town Christmas lights.
Upstairs living room had nice fireplace and lots of seating for a large group.

Great place to book for Christmas. It snowed, we saw deer right outside out patio. The house had everything we needed to cook and season our food. Plenty of room, good amount of.bathrooms and the garage was large for cars. We Will definitely be back next year.

Great space, accurate description, walkable, nice view. The heat and hot water went out before the snow on our last afternoon. When I mentioned it I did not hear back.

We loved our stay at Indian Paintbrush in Estes Park, CO. We came to Estes Park for our daughter's wedding. Everything about the house was wonderful. The house was exactly as it was described on the website! The view from the deck was amazing and was close to Main Street and restaurants. We definitely recommend it!

The house was perfect for us to spend some time relaxing in Estes! The house is less than a 5 minute walk to downtown shops and restaurants, but far enough to enjoy privacy sitting on the deck. Everything was very clean and the house has all the amenities and convenience to feel at home. 10 minute drive to the park entrance. Super easy to get the keys and get settled even without a keypad onsite. We definitely would recommend this home and Ponderosa Realty to anyone traveling to Estes!

Very nice house in Estes Park, very close to the entrance to RMNP. If you're planning your stay around trips into the park this is a very convenient location on the southwest side of town; you avoid going through downtown on your way to the Rte 36 entrance. The house is up on a hill with great views of the mountains from a nice deck. The interior is well done, four bedrooms was perfect for our group. Beds were comfortable and water pressure in the showers was good. You do need to stop at their rental office on the opposite side of town in order to pick up and drop off the keys; no big deal. Over all, would definitely recommend for a visit to the RMNP area.

Such a great home! Home had more amenities than listed! There were only 2 items needed to be addressed: No garage door opener (we assumed previous tenants accidentally took with them)!!! Also master bath outlets did not work. We would stay/book this home on our next visit to Estes Park!

This house was great, very much as described. We had a great time lighting a fire in the fireplace to keep us warm and cozy, the garage was handy as it allowed us to stow our car in out of the snow(might be able to fit two cars even), there were views of The Stanley from some of the rooms, and large TVs to watch movies, sports, etc while sitting around and eating or playing card games. Plenty of space in the house with a living room, a den, and a bar/card table area for groups to enjoy their own experience. The decor and furnishings were comfortable. The grill was functional and had propane, we used it one night for burgers. It looked like there was a fenced in backyard which would work well for groups with pets and there were modifications made to make sure small dogs couldn’t get out (we didn’t bring any pets so be sure to check the listing to see if that’s allowed).

Overall great place to stay in Estes for groups of 4 or more.

The house exceeded our expectations. The house is nicely finished on the inside, very clean and comfortable, more than enough space for our group (three couples, one baby). The deck had a great view of town and mountains. Very quick to get around and you don’t have drive through the town to get to Rocky Mountain National Park, which was convenient because it can get backed up in town. It’s a very quick walk to the shops and restaurants in town (the house is up the hill a little bit, check out the street view if you are worried about walking up the hill). The host was very helpful and responsive to questions. We would definitely stay here again if we come back!

This was an awesome place to stay! Home is in excellent condition and close to downtown. We will definitely keep this one out list to stay in Estes Park!

Group of 6 that thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. House was very clean and had plenty of space. We spent a lot of time on the large deck overlooking the town. It was nice to be able to walk into town from the house and check out all of the shops, restaurants, and bars without worrying about driving around.

I highly recommend this rental, it was very close to downtown and had the most beautiful view. Everything was very clean and the host had great communication. Hoping to stay here again in the future!

Had a great stay at a perfect property. Couldn’t have been better.

We loved! Great location. Large outdoor deck with lots of seating. Perfect for two families..having 3 full baths and a powder room was amazing. Game room bonus area was great.

This is the perfect house for a family vacation. We brought along my father in law, sister in law and brother in law. We all had enough room to have our own space but the perfect deck to enjoy dinners in the evenings. The view was outstanding and the Elks roaming through the yard with babies was the icing on the cake. Check in was super easy, the place was clean and clearly well taken care of. We will be staying here again.

We loved our stay in Estes Park. This home was better than we expected! It is very spacious and had enough beds and bathrooms to accommodate our group. We appreciate good hang out space when the weather is bad and it has a nice big dining table. The kitchen was well stocked and has a nice gas stove and large refrigerator.

The location is perfect. You can walk to town- which has parking issues in the summer, and it is a very close drive to RMNP.

As others noted, it is a steep hike back to the house from town and requires steps for the main floor. But if you’re able, walking to town early in the morning is delightful along the river.

Indian Paintbrush was an exceptional property! Our family of five adults were quite comfortable and the property included everything we needed for our stay.

The location is an easy walk to all of the shops and restaurants downtown (note: there’s a fairly significant hill to climb to return to the property if you have issues). The neighborhood was quiet and there was plenty of parking in the large driveway.

The kitchen was very well equipped. We were able to cook and bake whatever we wanted, with many spices already available. The spacious living room made for a comfortable, relaxing space to read, visit, relax, or watch the game.

Our family spent a fair amount of time in the bar area playing games. The square table seemed to be made for it.

The bedrooms were very comfortable, and we were grateful to have 3 1/2 bathrooms.

The deck was amazing! We had a lovely view overlooking the town and distant mountains. We could see the Stanley Hotel in one direction and the aerial tramway behind. There was seating for at least ten to relax and enjoy the scenery. We even heard elk bugling one evening.

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience at the Indian Paintbrush!

This house was absolutely beautiful and in the perfect location. It was spacious and clean with more than enough room for our group of six. Nice views from the patio and bar area, and great location with an easy walk to downtown. We had the best time and would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time staying at Indian Paintbrush! Plenty of space for all of us. The Aspens were bright yellow outside the big windows in the bar area, and we enjoyed watching the sunrise over the mountains on the large porch. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook chili the first night. Great location, just a quick stroll down the hill into town and a short drive into RMNP. After the 10 mile hike to Sky Pond we really enjoyed being able to grab a beer outside at the Barrel bar right next to the house. Thanks for a fabulous weekend in Estes Park!

This location can’t be beat. It’s back in a quiet neighborhood with great views but also an easy walk into town. Great home for 2 families with lots of space. Would stay here again for sure.

The house was absolutely beautiful and huge. We were so comfortable staying there. Very close to shopping and nightlife. We would definitely stay there again. Our favorite part was the beautiful deck. Loved it!
