Old TV and rare smell

Response From: Ponderosa Realty and Management , Inc.

Frankly I don't think your review is fair. The TV is featured in the pictures so it can't be a surprise. Also, you didn't report any problems while at the cabin, so to complain after leaving doesn't give us a chance to correct anything. And you are the only person to complain about any smells and I have no idea what you mean by "rare"

Overall, the experience was good didn’t spend a ton of time in the actual cabin, amenities were exactly what was listed. The stove was a little bit difficult to use and the location of some of the pots and pans, and things weren’t exactly intuitive, but after some searching, I was able to find everything. It was a nice space, but I feel like the photos we’re slightly misleading on size and modern feel

A nice little cozy place near the RMNP. Everything was as advertised. Lots of wildlife around with a deer family wandering into the backyard. The heat took a bit of time to work (old system ) after checking in but it was able to warm it up eventually. The keys had to picked up and dropped off from an office 10 mins away

Caution. When your eggs are cracked and in the pan, the invection cooktop will go out. And your family will have to accept eggs cooked in the microwave

Bad stain on bedroom carpet. Debris on floors under furniture. TV has no smart options. Kitchen has new appliances but rest of furnishings quite outdated. Plenty of towels and sheets.

It’s an old mountain cabin with very little charm. But quiet and adequate for sleeping. We won’t be back

My family and I had a great stay! We enjoyed looking out the many windows and spotting wildlife passing by. It was stocked with everything we needed except toilet paper. What a great location... so close to RMNP and the downtown shops.

Our stay here was overall a good experience. The beds were uncomfortable and small. I ended up on the sofa to give my husband more room. This was a small inconvenience, since the house was close to everything we had planned to do.

This place was a great landing spot for our families first time to Estes and RMNP. Only a 5min drive to the park entrance and to downtown. The renovated kitchen was also very nice as we were able to cook several meals at the home. They also have games and puzzles which was entertaining for us at night when not exploring the park. Only suggestion I would make is consideration in bed upgrades, but aside from that, it was a good experience if you’re looking for a comfortable landing place to explore RMNP and EP.

Very convenient location to the park and downtown Estes - both under 10 minutes. I wish the listing had mentioned the lack of a/c as the place got very warm in the afternoons/evenings when we wanted to take a break from the park. There were a few fairly weak fans but it didn’t cool down until after midnight each night. The remodeled kitchen is beautifully done and very well stocked but some of that expense could have gone to replacing the mattresses and upgrading the furniture. The sofa bed mattress in the second bedroom was basically just springs so unusable as a bed. The deck was nice but views were more obstructed than they appeared in the pictures. Also be aware you have to drive 10 minutes outside town to pick up and drop off the house keys. First Airbnb I’ve had in years without a keypad entry. This was a cost effective place by Estes Park standards but I’d probably stay elsewhere next time.

Elk Run is conveniently located to town - easy to access the shops and restaurants. It’s also extremely convenient to accessing Rocky Mountain national park, which was the main focus of our trip. We really appreciated the updated kitchen and open living area. The deck was nice, too. You do hear some cars going by, but overall the neighborhood is quiet.

We had a great stay here. Me and a couple friends wanted something near RMNP to do day hikes for a few days. The location is great for Estes Park and RMNP. Check the bathroom and kitchen before you go shopping - there is a lot of stuff from previous guests!
