We loved this cabin. It was close to Rocky Mountain National Park and to Estes Park. We loved the location along the Big Thompson River and enjoyed sitting by the river after exploring the park. The cabin was roomy and cozy and had everything we needed. We would absolutely rent this cabin again!
A great cozy cabin for a couple. Have your camera ready as you might have a herd of elk come to visit right outside!
Nice cabin, built in 1896 and remodeled. As previous reviewers have said, 2 of the 3 bedrooms are built off the porch which you have to go outside the front door to get to. Not ideal if you have small children you want to keep near but fine for adults or older kids. Beds were a little hard for my taste but it had everything we needed, not many extras. There were a few board games available. It is managed by a real estate company and you pick your keys up at their office in town, which was good because the address is not accurate on gps so they had written directions. Very quiet and peaceful! Loved the porch.
Was a good place to stay
Clean, affordable, great location.
Great location.
Great Cabin
We enjoyed the stay. The location is great. The house was clean. It is old and not fancy but absolutely usable. Make sure you notice the two bedrooms downstairs have outside entrances--from the screened in porch--and guests will have to walk through the porch and into the house to use the restroom and shower.
Beautiful views in a fantastic location.
The cabin is perfect !! The location was absolutely beautiful. The two rooms outside give more privacy if its multiple adults going and there's an extra pull out bed in the living room. Cabin had all essentials and stayed warm the entire time. Cable and wifi offered . Neighbors are not too close , area is nice and quiet, and easy parking. The check in was super quick the staff had everything ready for us upon arrival and they were very friendly. We stayed for 9 days and enjoyed it so much both inside and the beautiful outdoors , beds are comfty, and they have plenty of blankets. Cabin was very clean upon arrival , we would definitely stay back here again!
Very nice cabin! Spacious for family, and thanksgiving dinner. We enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful cabin a great location 10/10 will stay here again!
The Blue Spruce cabin is a truly charming and unique home. We had a great time-it's cozy, warm and a wonderful place to relax, enjoy home cooked meals and lively conversation. A few things to take into consideration: it's located amongst the trees so relatively dark-but does have ample lighting. The 2 rooms located off the porch affords good privacy. The porch itself is not heated for winter use. Otherwise we would recommend this property and consider stay here again. Also, the location is easy access to downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.
We enjoyed our stay very much! The cabin was great! The location was perfect for east access to the park and just a few minutes from downtown. We absolutely plan to come back!
It was clean but didn't like the location of the 2 bedrooms.
Wonderful cabin in a quiet, peaceful location with great porch, lovely grounds and outdoor patio areas. The living/dining/kitchen areas are well-appointed and very cozy and comfortable.
The cabin is nice and cozy. Beautiful scenery and located in a very nice spot along the river. The only down side is that the shower is not very accommodating for taller people and the sofa is a bit old. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay at the blue spruce cabin.
Ponderosa Realty - super nice, easy to get to, and explained everything well.
The cabin - location cannot be beat. No one in our party felt comfortable sleeping in either the 2nd or 3rd bedroom (these are off the porch, separate from the main cabin), and so half our group slept in the king bed upstairs, and the other half slept on the sleeper sofa. This is quite an old sleeper, so it was not very comfortable. I suppose we knew that it was going to be an unusual bedroom layout, but didn't really understand fully until we saw it.
Otherwise, this is a lovely old cabin, with all of the basics you would need for your stay. The fireplace was lovely. The WIFI was good. The appliances were older but worked just fine (dishwasher's a little noisy - try to run it while you're out!) I think that we would rent it again if we only had need for one bedroom.
Awesome location!! We loved this little cabin and it was so close to the Beaver Meadows entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Just minutes from town too!! We loved seeing wildlife nearby.
The property has a beautiful main room and a wonderful wrap around porch. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom are accessible from the porch rather than the main living area. Thankful for washer and dryer after long days of hiking. Kitchen met our needs Great to have a gas grill.
We will be back!!
Great location, very quiet and great access to the east entrances for RMNP.
A quaint spot in the woods close to some good hiking trials that you can easily access with going into the Park. The cabin is adequate but not upscale. It is best for two people as the additional beds are annexed off the porch which is not an ideal set up and not well advertised. Decor is outdated but the place was clean and tidy. The shower is made for someone 5 feet tall or shorter. It is a nice complement property to the Manor next door if you have overflow guests and want to be nearby. Then you can spend most of you time in the more comfortable upscale property.
This cabin is perfect, the fireplace is incredible and the location is so convenient. It’s only 10 mins from the park and 5 mins from town. We are definitely planning on coming back!!!
This place is a great historic building. The location cannot be beat. The place might be old but it is well maintained and solid. The separation and privacy of the bedrooms is unusual and ideal for friends and families with older children. We had a great stay!
